Cancer treatment centre opens in Belfast

Queen's University in Belfast has unveiled its multi-million pound cancer research centre.

The £25m centre will investigate new methods of prevention, treatment and diagnosis of the disease.

The new facility will employ some 300 researchers from around the world.

Senator George Mitchell, Chancellor of Queen's, said the new centre would put Northern Ireland in the frontline of the worldwide crusade to tackle cancer.
