The trial of Fianna Fáil TD Matty McGrath and five co-defendants in the Circuit Court in Clonmel has been put back until the next session of the court in February 2008.

Mr McGrath who was elected as a TD for the Tipperary South constituency in last May's General Election has already pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The charges relate to a late night fracas outside a pub in Mr. McGrath's home village of Newcastle, Co Tipperary.
