Dublin fire services have received more than 800 calls for fire and ambulance services this Hallowe'en.
At one point, every fire engine and ambulance in the city was out on a call.
Third officer David Bell, who is in charge of the fire services in the capital, said that if the rate of calls they are receiving continues at this pace, they will receive over 1,000 before the end of the night.
That would represent the busiest 24-hour-period in the history of the service.
Most of the fires are small to medium and there are no reports of anyone being seriously injured.
