Buckingham Palace has refused to discuss a report that a member of the British royal family has been the subject of a blackmail attempt.
The Sunday Times reports that the case involves allegations of drugs and sex.
The newspaper said police were contacted after alleged blackmailers threatened to go public with a video.
Buckingham Palace said it was a police matter and that Scotland Yard was investigating.
Two men, aged 30 and 40, appeared before City of Westminster magistrates last month accused of blackmail and were remanded in custody.
