The Irish Nationwide Building Society has begun legal proceedings against Walkinstown solicitor, Thomas Byrne.
It is understood that Irish Nationwide is seeking the return of more than €10m from Mr Byrne.
IIB Bank has already issued proceedings against Mr Byrne in relation to a loan of €9m.
Bank of Scotland Ireland has indicated that it too has mortgages with Mr Byrne.
It is also understood that EBS may also take proceedings against him.
The proceedings taken by the Law Society and by IIB Bank against him are both due back before the High Court next Tuesday.
