A man wanted in the Netherlands on child trafficking charges has been remanded in custody by the High Court in Dublin.

A 38-year-old man wanted in the Netherlands on child trafficking charges has been remanded in custody for two weeks by the High Court in Dublin.

The Dutch authorities are seeking the extradition of Jackson Smith, also known as Peter Sarfo, who is currently being detained at Cloverhill Prison.

They claim he is involved in trafficking children from Nigeria into Europe.
