A report by Daft.ie says one out of every five residential properties listed on the property website last January is still up for sale, nine months later.
Asking prices for residential properties are also down.
According to the site's rival myhome.ie, residential properties fell by 0.7% in the three months to the end of September.
The drop in prices was more pronounced in Dublin, where asking prices were down 1.7% compared to 0.3% outside Dublin.
