A review of the Westminister parliamentary constituencies in Northern Ireland has recommended there be no change in the number of seats, currently at 18.
However the Boundary Commission says the boundaries of 12 of the constituencies should be changed.
This latest review of the constituencies was begun by the Boundary Commission in May 2003, and preliminary recommendations were published three years later.
Since then the Commission has been considering representations made to them by the political parties.
Although the existing 18 constituencies will remain, the boundaries of 12 of them will be varied, meaning the number of electors would go up or down compared to the last poll.
The changes will mean that less than 5% of Northern Ireland's electorate would transfer constituencies, but with a British general election in the autumn still a possibility, the parties will be analysing those changes in detail.
