The Presentation Sisters are to spend close to €1m on internet-based home learning for more than 50 teenagers who drop out of school early.
Launching the five-year programme, the Presentation Sisters said the pilot scheme would assist teenagers who failed to attend school for six months or more with their education.
It is hoped that by the end of the year many of these teenagers will be tailoring their individual learning programmes to their own interests.
