Second teenager charged over screwdriver death

A second teenager has appeared in court charged in connection with the killing of 65-year-old Harry Holland.

A second teenager has appeared in court this morning charged in connection with the killing of 65-year-old Harry Holland.

The 17-year-old accused has been remanded in custody to appear again next month.

He faces three charges, which include attempted wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

Mr Holland, an elderly greengrocer, was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver at Norfolk Drive, west Belfast on Tuesday night. He died the following day.

Yesterday a 15-year-old girl was remanded in custody by Belfast Youth Court, charged with affray and assault causing actual bodily harm.

Another 17-year-old man remains in police custody.
