Bypass cuts Wexford-Dublin travel time

Drivers travelling between Dublin and Wexford will save an average of 30 minutes on their journey times as a result of the opening of the Gorey bypass today.

The ¤192m 23km dual carriageway bypasses the town of Gorey which has been a traffic bottleneck for many years.

The villages of Clogh and Inch are also bypassed by the new route.
