Man critical after screwdriver attack

Police investigating an attack on a 65-year-old man in Belfast have arrested four teenagers.

Police investigating an attack on a 65-year-old man in west Belfast have arrested four teenagers.

Harry Holland was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver in the Norfolk Drive area of the city just before midnight last night.

The greengrocer had been trying to prevent his van being stolen when he was attacked. The vehicle had been vandalised the night before.

He is said to be on a life-support machine in hospital.

Police confirmed that two teenage boys and two girls have been detained.
