An 85-year-old woman has died following a road accident near Rathmore on the Mallow side near the Cork-Kerry border.
The woman was a passenger in a car being driven by her husband that was in collision with a van about 1km outside Rathmore on the Mallow side.
She has been named as Catherine Teresa Daly from Nohoval, Rathmore, Co Kerry.
The accident occurred at around 5.40pm this evening.
The woman's husband was taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee. The driver of the van was taken to hospital in Mallow.
