An Indonesian woman has died of bird flu in Bali, the first human death from the virus on the resort island.

An Indonesian woman has died of bird flu in Bali, the first human death from the virus on the island.

A health ministry official said the 29-year-old woman came from west Bali.

She died on Sunday in hospital after suffering from high fever.
