Ryanair has said it will continue to take a maximum of four people with reduced mobility per flight despite new EU regulations that oblige airlines to offer equal access for people with disabilities.

The budget airline says it has a safety limit of four wheelchair passengers per flight specifically to ensure that their four cabin crew can attend to these four passengers in an emergency evacuation.

It also says that this policy complies with the new EU legislation.
