Stillorgan shooting linked to ongoing feud

A feud between two families in the Crumlin area of Dublin is believed to be behind this afternoon's shooting, which left one man seriously wounded.

A feud between two families in the Crumlin area of Dublin is believed to be behind this afternoon's shooting, which left one man seriously wounded.

The man, believed to be in his early twenties, was shot in the head and pushed from a car on Lakelands Road in Stillorgan in south Dublin at around 3pm.

Two men aged 21 and 22  have been arrested and are being held at Tallaght garda station.

Its understood that a gun and a quantity of drugs, believed to be a half kilo of cannabis, were recovered in a burnt-out car in Dargle Wood in Knocklyon in south Dublin.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

The injured man was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
