Five victims of crashes named

Gardaí have released the names of five people who died on Irish roads in recent days.

Gardaí have released the names of five people who died on Irish roads in recent days.

29-year-old Andrew Dowling of Keeper Road, Crumlin, Dublin died in a collision on the N6 at Kinnegad on 29 June at 10.40am.

The victim of the Coolock collision on 28 June has been named as 35-year-old Patrick O'Doherty of Swan's Nest Ave, Kilbarrack, Dublin.

The victim of a collision on the Dundrum Road on 28 June has also been named. He was 19-year-old Rory O'Connor of Highfield Park, Dundrum, Co Dublin.

65-year-old Patrick McGuinness of Kilkerley, Dundalk, Co Louth, died when his car was crushed by a truck as he tried to open a gate.

That accident happened on the Point Road in Dundalk at 6.20am on 27 June.

In Galway, Bernadette Brien, aged 57, from Killimor, Ballinasloe, died in a collision in Portumna on 28 June.
