The parents of the missing British child, Madeleine McCann, have made an appeal on RTÉ Television.

Kate and Gerry McCann appeared on Crimecall to appeal for Irish tourists who have recently visited Portugal to scan holiday snaps for clues on Madeleine's whereabouts.

They said the amount of support they have received from Irish people since their daughter's disappearance from the Praia de Luz 47 days ago has been incredible.

The four-year-old was abducted from the family's holiday apartment in the Portuguese resort on 3 May.

The McCanns also spoke about their future plans.
