Irish protestors arrested at G8 conference

Two Irish protestors have been arrested during a demonstration at the G8 summit in Heiligendamm in Germany.

Two Irish protestors have been arrested during a demonstration at the G8 summit in Heiligendamm in Germany.

The 25-year-old man from Dublin and 23-year-old woman from Cork were arrested by Rostock police yesterday on public order charges.

Both are still being held and have requested assistance from the Irish embassy in Berlin.
