A conference aimed at helping the international fight against human trafficking opened in Belfast today.
Delegates at Queen's University have been discussing how to disrupt criminal gangs who traffic up to 800,000 men, women and children each year.
Around 80% of the victims are female, and half of them are children.
United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants Professor Jorge Bustamante was among today's speakers.
UN Human Rights Committee member Professor Michael O'Flaherty was also due to address delegates.
