The parents of the missing British child, Madeleine McCann, have said they will 'travel wherever is necessary' in their search to find their daughter.

Gerry and Kate McCann said they would play a key part in the campaign to find the four-year-old, including travelling around Europe.

Mr McCann said that since Madeleine may no longer be in Portugal the search for her would extend 'far and wide'.

Madeleine McCann disappeared from the family's holiday apartment in the Praia de Luz resort in southern Portugal over two weeks ago.
