45 jobs to go at Longford electronics firm

45 jobs are to be lost at an electronics plant in Co Longford.

Kimball Electronics, which purchased the Magna Donnelly plant in Longford town 12 months ago, currently employs 156 workers.

A further 20 people employed on temporary contracts will also be let go in the coming months.

Staff had been on notice for several months that there could be job losses after the firm lost a key contract.
