The parents of the missing British four-year-old, Madeleine McCann, have brought in their own team of lawyers to help investigate her disappearance.

It is now 11 days since the young girl was taken from her bed at the Praia de Luz resort in southern Portugal.

Her parents have said they will continue to believe she is safe until they get concrete evidence to the contrary and have vowed to stay in Portugal until she is found.

They have set up a fund to help in the search.

The girl's father, Gerry McCann, said they hoped to keep publicity about her disappearance high.
