It was a scene that would have seemed strange ten years ago.
Members of the country's leading business lobby group Chambers Ireland having breakfast with leaders from the Green party.
Polls show the Greens in a good position to gain seats in the upcoming election - and become a key member of any coalition government.
Chambers Ireland president David Pierce wanted to find out who he could be dealing with.
'It's a very different Green party than I met five or six years ago', said Mr Pierce. 'It's very much pro-business.'
Green party leader Trevor Sargent says the Greens are ready for government and will work with every sector in our society to make that happen.
Speaking to RTÉ Chief Correspondent Charlie Bird, Mr Sargent said: 'I do know that the Green Party is not only ready for goverment, but all the indications are that we will be kingmakers in the next negotiations.'
He said he would be disappointed if the Greens failed to win up to ten seats in the upcoming elections.
The party best known for its environmental focus trebled its representation in the Daíl during the last election.
Party members voted against joining a pre-election pact with Fine Gael and Labour in 2005.
Many pundits predict the party could replace the Progressive Democrats as Fianna Fáil's partner in the next government.
Trevor Sargent's name has even been mentioned as the next Tánaiste.
