The Hearourvoice.ie site follows a pre-election campaign the National Youth Council has been running to get candidates' opinions on a number of issues.

It has identified seven key topics that matter to young voters.

Over the last few weeks, the council has contacted every declared candidate across the 43 constituencies to get their views on education, housing, health, equality, participation in society, environment and the cost of living.

Many of those running for election have not replied to the council's inquiries, the only party leader who has responded so far is Trevor Sargent of the Greens.

He scores four out of five on the site's rating. Sinn Féin's Dáil leader, Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin gets the same score for his responses.

The NYCI is urging young voters to use the site so they can make an informed choice on election day.
