Two men have been killed in seperate accidents on the country's roads.
22-year-old Mark Carroll of Dunard Avenue, Cabra, died following a single-vehicle collision in the Phoenix Park, Dublin at about 1.30am.
He was a passenger in a car that hit a fence on the Military Road.
A 20-year-old man died when his car crashed at Delvin Road in Mullingar in Co Westmeath shortly before 8.30pm last night.
The deceased has been named as Shane Doherty of Rathconnell, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
Two people who were travelling in the car were taken to Mullingar General Hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
