IBM has announced the opening of a new research institute at its west Dublin campus in Blanchardstown.

IBM has announced the opening of a new research institute at its west Dublin campus in Blanchardstown.

The Global Research and Analysis Institute is part of IBM's plans, announced in July, to invest €46m over the next several years in its operations in Dublin.

Over 300 highly skilled jobs will be created - many in research and development.

IBM's General Manager for Ireland, Michael Daly, said it highlights Ireland's role as an important contributor to IBM's global research, development and innovation strategy.
