Problems with vaccine are minimal

The Health Service Executive has said that problems it has experienced with a batch of the BCG vaccine will cause minimal disruption to the childhood vaccination programme against tuberculosis.

It says the batch difficulty has had an impact over the past two weeks.

However, it says that where appointments for vaccinating children need to be rescheduled, parents will be notified.
