Vet tests negative for bird flu

The vet who fell ill after helping contain the bird flu outbreak in Suffolk in England has tested negative for the disease.

The vet, who has not been named, is suffering from a 'mild respiratory illness' at Nottingham's City Hospital.

Almost 160,000 turkeys have been culled following the flu outbreak on a Bernard Matthews farm in Holton last week.
