Coastguard officials meet relatives

Coastguard officials have been meeting with relatives of the five fishermen missing since the Pere Charles sank off the Co Waterford coast 17 days ago.

It is expected that diving operations will now be wound up and no more dives will take place in or around the sunken vessel, which is lying 35 metres below the surface and two-and a-half miles from Dunmore East.

Meanwhile, Garda divers will dive again to the second missing trawler, the Honey Dew II, tomorrow.

There is still no sign of the two fishermen missing since the Kinsale-based trawler sank.
