British Queen honours PSNI members

Britain's Queen Elizabeth has honoured seven police officers and staff from the PSNI in her New Year Honours List.

MBEs have been awarded to Inspector Ronnie Neill, sector commander for Kilkeel and Warrenpoint; Inspector John MacAuley, who until his recent retirement served in west Belfast; Sergeant Florence Ferry, community safety, Cookstown; Reserve Constable John Knox, Bushmills and Ms Suzanne Robson, senior personal secretary to the Chief Constable.

The Queen's Police Medal (QPM) goes to Inspector Derrick Louden, Castlereagh, and recently retired Detective Sergeant Steven Callaghan.

Independent International Commission on Decommissioning (IICD) members, Brigadier Tauno Nieminen and Andrew Sens, have each been awarded an Honorary CBE in recognition of their services to the peace process in Northern Ireland.
