The mother of two who lost her bid to have three frozen embryos released to her for implantation against the wishes of her estranged husband has said she intends to appeal the case to the Supreme Court.
In a statement issued through her solicitor, the woman said the case raised unique and difficult questions of law, medicine and science.
She said she was determined to appeal in the interests of her family and in the wider public interest.
The woman said she was deeply disappointed that the State had lodged a cross-appeal on the issue of costs.
