The main findings of the Iraq Study Group's report has been criticised by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.
Mr Talabani rejected the Group's proposal to withdraw US troops if Iraq failed to strengthen security.
He also objected to including representatives of Saddam Hussein's former regime in reconciliation attempts.
Mr Talabani had previously praised sections of the report which called for talks with other countries in the region including Iran and Syria.
