In Cork city, the Carrigrohane road remained closed this morning from Victoria Cross to Inchaggin Lane.

The Lee Road was also closed from the Sunday's Well Road outbound, and parts of the road around Iniscarra were under water.

Gardaí in Waterford reported flooding on the Tramore Road this morning but the city was unaffected.

There were also reports of flooding on the quays in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

At Dublin Airport there were some delays, but the majority of flights were operating as normal.
