Three men have been before Dublin District Court charged with possession of €315,000 worth of cocaine in Co Meath earlier this week.

The three men were arrested as part of a garda operation in Leinster on Monday and Tuesday.

Dublin District Court was told a garage in Duleek, raided by gardaí, could only be described as a 'drugs factory'.

Stephen Saunders, from Clonee in Dublin 15, Francis Murphy, 27, from Duleek, Co Meath, and Keith Gardiner, 29, from Finglas in Dublin, were all charged with possession of cocaine with intent for sale or supply.

Gardaí objected to bail in all three cases due to the serious nature of the offences, the value of the drugs and the severity of the sentence they would face if convicted. However, Judge Cormac Dunne granted bail in all three cases.

Mr Saunders was remanded on his own bond of €15,000 and an independent surety of €30,000.

Mr Murphy was remanded on his own bond of €20,000 and an independent surety of €35,000 while Keith Gardiner was remanded on his own bond of €15,000 and an independent surety of €25,000.

All three will be brought before Cloverhill District Court next week.

The court heard this was a major operation and that compressors, mixing agents, packaging and three blocks of cocaine were found in the garage.

A suspected firearm, a bulletproof vest, a balaclava, two stolen high-powered cars and a stolen motorbike were also found.
