Five still held after ¤3.5m cocaine seizures

Gardaí are still questioning five people arrested in connection with drug raids across Leinster yesterday in which cocaine worth ¤3.5 million was seized.

They are being detained at separate Garda Stations at Coolock, Whitehall, Santry, Ballymun and Mountjoy.

Yesterday's operation was led by gardaí from the organised crime unit of the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Another two men were arrested following separate drug seizures in Cork city.

One has been released and a file sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second was due to appear before Cork District Court today.
