Woman critical after Dublin hit-and-run

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being knocked down in a hit-and-run incident in Dublin last night.

The woman, a student in her early 20s from England, was struck by a car on the Rathgar Road just after 11pm. She was taken to St James's Hospital.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and is being held at Rathmines Garda Station.

Gardaí also believe they have located the car involved in the hit-and-run.
