Labour TD Breeda Moynihan-Cronin has reversed her decision to stand down at the next election.

She will now contest the Kerry South seat which she has represented since 1992.

She will run against, among others, fellow sitting TDs, Fianna Fáil Minister John O'Donoghue and Independent Jackie Healy-Rae, as well as two Fine Gael county councillors.

Ms Moynihan-Cronin decided to retire last year due to ill health, but now says she has recovered fully.

She said this was the only reason why she decided to run again.
