A group of about 80 members of the Shell to Sea group, which is opposing the Corrib gas terminal in Co Mayo, took part in another protest march this morning.

A convoy of vehicles taking construction workers to the terminal site passed unhindered shortly before 8am.

A small force of gardaí accompanied the protest march. There was no repetition of the serious confrontations which took place last week.

A priest recited the rosary during a demonstration at the main entrance. The protestors again called on Shell to halt work at the site.
