Results of Leaving Certificate appeals issued
Wednesday, 11 October 2006 09:31The State Examinations Commission has released the appeal results for this year's Leaving Certificate examinations.
Candidates will receive the results of their appeals either through their school or through the online examination results service at www.examinations.ie.
The commission says that more than 5,300 candidates out of a total of 51,000 who sat the Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Vocational examinations appealed some of their grades.

This amounted to nearly 9,500 grades being appealed out of a total of almost 352,000.
Just over 2,000 results were upgraded.
Small numbers of appeals were also processed in subjects in the Leaving Certificate Applied Programme.
