Hijack drama on Turkish plane ends

A Turkish passenger plane flying from the Albanian capital, Tirana, to Istanbul was hijacked over Greece this evening and later landed in Brindisi in southern Italy.

The 107 passengers and six crew were unharmed and have since disembarked.

The two Turkish hijackers, who were unarmed, have been taken into police custody.
