Eleven PSNI officers have been injured in street violence in Belfast.

Four officers were hurt when a stolen car collided with a police Land Rover on the New Lodge Road at around 7pm yesterday evening.

Following the crash, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and rioting erupted.

Up to 150 people gathered and attacked police, hurling building debris at them.

Seven officers were injured including a female officer who was cut in the face by glass.
