Former Ireland and Munster rugby player Eddie Halvey has been further remanded on bail on drink driving charges.

Mr Halvey, 35, of Allandale Hall, South Circular Road, Limerick, was remanded to appear before Nenagh District Court again on 20 October.

He is facing a charge of driving with excess alcohol at Coole, Toomevara, Co Tipperary, on 1 April.

The case arose following a collision between a car and a vehicle driven by Mr Halvey that resulted in the death of 16-year-old Kevin Walsh of Bruff, Co Limerick.
