NI deal not possible before deadline: Paisley

Ian Paisley has said that he does not think it is possible for the parties to reach a deal on the restoration of the Stormont assembly by the 24 November deadline.

The DUP Leader, Ian Paisley, has said that he does not think it is possible for the parties to reach a deal on the restoration of the Stormont assembly by the 24 November deadline set by the two governments. 

He was speaking in Downing Street following a meeting with the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

The Taoiseach is due to meet Mr Blair at the Prime Minister's country retreat, Chequers, on Friday morning, to discuss Northern Ireland.
