Two of London's main airports say they have restored a normal service for passengers after extensive delays caused by increased security measures.

They were introduced following the discovery of an alleged plot to blow up transatlantic aircraft.

Heathrow and Gatwick airports say there were no cancellations of flights yesterday, although they warn that further delays are possible.
