Barr report completed, says Ahern

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has told the Dáil the report of the Barr Tribunal into the death of John Carthy is now completed and is ready for printing.

The tribunal began investigating the fatal shooting of Mr Carthy three years ago.

He was shot dead by the Garda Emergency Response Unit in Abbeylara, Co Longford, in 2000.
