Galway city elected its first Green Party mayor tonight.
Galway city elected its first Green Party mayor tonight.
Councillor Niall O'Brolchain was elected with the support of Fine Gael and Labour members of the city council.
He defeated the Fianna Fáil candidate John Connolly by eight votes to six with one abstention.
