Nine News: Sinéad Crowley reports that the President was in Mozambique visiting a landmine project run by the Halo Trust, which is supported by Irish Aid
President McAleese, who has resumed her tour of sub-Saharan Africa, has been visiting an Irish sponsored organisation in Mozambique dedicated to clearing landmines.
Ms McAleese left Africa on Thursday to attend the State funeral of the former Taoiseach Charles Haughey.
She arrived in Lichinga in Northern Mozambique this morning and will go to Tanzania tomorrow for the final part of her visit.
The Presidential delegation will travel to Tanzania tomorrow.
