A group representing people aggrieved at their treatment in industrial schools has criticised the Child Abuse Commission for completing this week's hearings ahead of schedule.

A group representing people aggrieved at their treatment in industrial schools has criticised the Child Abuse Commission for completing this week's hearings ahead of schedule.

The Cork-based Right of Place organisation says former residents missed the opportunity to hear the cross-examination of the Sisters of Mercy who managed their institutions.

A spokesperson for the commission responded that it would be criticised if there was an unwarranted delay in the taking of evidence.
