Detectives involved in the Ballymena murder inquiry have collected CCTV footage recorded in the town centre over last weekend.
They are examining it in the hope it may contain vital clues as to the identities of those who attacked and assaulted 15-year-old Michael McIlveen.
The Catholic teenager later died from his injuries.
The PSNI revealed they were trawling through the CCTV footage at a court hearing during which the police were granted an extra 36 hours to question two juveniles.
Yesterday, five teenagers, including a 15-year-old, were remanded in custody charged with Michael McIlveen's murder.
At the hearing, it was also revealed that the police have seized items of clothing, footwear and a baseball bat during planned searches in the Ballymena area of Co Antrim.
Book of condolence to be opened
The unionist-dominated council in Ballymena has voted to open a book of condolence for the McIlveen family.
The council took the decision at its meeting last night.
Meanwhile, Sinn Féin has cancelled a hunger strike commemoration planned for Portglenone in Co Antrim later today in an attempt to ease tensions over the killing.
The party also said a planned vigil near Ballymena had been called off.
